Courage

What value does my life hold?
Day and night I only suffer.
Every, every day I’m told.
Precious joy now’s an empty buffer.
All my energy I try to hold.

It has only one direction.
Floors and ceilings break alike.
Every, every day I fold.
All I want is my reflection.
All my pain forms in a spike.

One day I am finally free.
Every, every day was cold.

Finally, it’s not soo bad.
I wake up, I am not sad.
I go to the kitchen, make a brew.
Finally, I smell the almonds anew.
